Joyce & Associates, LLC was founded in 2009 in Annapolis, Maryland, before moving to Kevin & Christine's home county in 2010. Since founding, the firm has continued to serve clients throughout Maryland, including litigating many hundreds of matters in Maryland's District, Circuit, and Appellate Courts, as well as in the Federal District Court. Kevin and Christine have resided in Queen Anne's County since 2007, where they are raising their four children.
Prior to law school, Kevin earned his undergraduate degree in Political Science & International Relations as Western Maryland College, and worked as a research director for the 2004 US Senate race. After entering law school at the Catholic University of America’s Columbus School of Law, Kevin availed himself of every possible opportunity to enhance his legal skills, working as a law clerk for three separate area firms and interning for the Honorable Stephanie Duncan-Peters with the D.C. Superior Court. During his time in law school Kevin also met his then-future wife. Following graduation from Catholic University of America's Columbus School of Law, Kevin was sworn in by the Maryland Court of Appeals. Kevin founded Joyce & Associates, LLC in 2009, and has represented many hundreds of individuals in domestic, civil, and criminal litigation, as well as worked with dozens of Maryland corporations to assist in their formation and ongoing legal needs. Kevin is a lifelong resident of Queen Anne's County, where he as been involved coaching youth sports for the last ten years. Kevin is an avid outdoorsman, hunter, and woodworker.
Christine, a native Californian, found herself in D.C. for law school and chose to stay following graduation. Her undergraduate performance at U.C. Irvine was impressive enough to earn her admission to no less than seventeen law schools and be offered numerous scholarships. Also while in California, Christine worked for the prestigious firm of Davis , Punelli & Keathley (now Keathley and Keathley) handling everything from scheduling depositions and doing the billing, to drafting pleadings; Christine was also solely responsible for maintaining for the firm’s law library. Prior to graduating from the Catholic University of America’s Columbus School of Law, Christine held internships with Judges for both the D.C. Court of Appeals (the District’s highest Court) as well as for the D.C. Superior Court, in addition to working for the University’s prestigious Family Law Clinic.
Christine was sworn into the Maryland Bar in December of 2009. Since being admitted to the Maryland Bar Christine has earned a reputation as a diligent advocate for her clients, and has represented hundreds of individuals in domestic litigation matters and estate planning. Christine is collaboratively trained and works hard to assist clients in resolving matters amicably when possible. Christine also provides mediation services. Christine devotes her free time to her children and family, and is an avid gardener with a lifelong love of sailing.
Olivia, originally from Illinois, is a 2022 graduate of the University of Mississippi with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice. Olivia joined the firm in October of 2022 after moving to the area to join her fiancé who recently graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy. Since joining the firm she has quickly developed a reputation with our clients for being hard working, detail-oriented, and just plain helpful. Whether it is assisting with discovery, or troubleshooting problems, Olivia is an asset to the firm and our clients.
